Trays are such a simple, easy & Frug-Elegant way to decorate your home & they can help keep things less cluttered & more organized. Come see what we mean…
Online & retail stores, trays come in different shapes, styles, sizes & price ranges. We even like to create our own trays! Our picture above of the different trays was taken at our local TJMaxx store. They always have such a great collection plus clearance options.
Living Room & Family Rooms are an easy place for clutter. We use a tray for our seasonal & holiday decor. So easy to change things up & you never have to change the tray if you don’t want to. A tray can be a designated spot for useful items like remote, eyeglasses, keys, tissues, etc etc. The spot family knows to always put these items.
Bedroom Trays: Trays in a bed are inviting & full or warmth! Not practical to put a tray in on a bed, we placed a tray on a super small bedside table. It makes the side table seem larger & the items look less likely to fall off. If the tray wasn’t there, the look would be so different.
Trays for the kitchen & bathroom can hold just about anything. Placed near shower, bathtub, on top of the toilet tank & next to sink. Great to hold soaps, bath products, candles & air fresheners, the list goes on & on…
Bring a tray outdoors too! Like our easy Fall Wine Box Tray to hold some of our Fall plants & pumpkins for our Fall Decor.
DIY trays can be such an easy project. From frames turned into trays or our wine crate turned into Fall Decor, & that actually required nothing except filling it- easy as could be. We also turned a vibrant tray we found on clearance to a beautiful bedside tray when we did our teen room makeover. We LOVE to find decor items on super clearance like 80-90% off. Those items are great opportunities for us to create something we love. Especially when all it needs is a little spray paint!
We don’t want to forget our trays for wine, a-hem, we mean beverages! Our Hot Chocolate Tray for our Christmas Kitchen or our Wine Trays.
This is a post that can truly be endless because we love trays so much. We use trays in our own home decor & in our FrugElegance by Design home staging. What better way to add texture, shape, and mix of materials (wood, metal, glass). Do you use trays in your home decor? Share with us some of your favorite pictures.

I need help using trays and this post and your wonderful photos will surely help to get me going in the right direction. I have that same round metal one with the glass insert (think it was from southern living way back), but I’ve never known how to ‘style’ it. Thanks!

These are so cute! I can’t wait until I can put things on my coffee table again without toddlers throwing it everywhere. I am jealous of how elegant your house looks.
You should come link up at our Bloggers Spotlight party, we pin everything to our group board and have two separate link-ups, one for posts and one devoted to pins so you get even more exposure!

A few years back I was on a tray buying spree. Most of them are stored in a closet but after seeing these beautiful examples I’m inspired to bring them out of hiding. Thank you!

I love all of these ideas! I agree that trays are such a cute and convenient way to arrange a group of items. We have one on our bedroom dresser with some silk flowers, a few candles, and a jar of cool looking potpourri from World Market.
