What a weekend! With only a few days notice~ we were going to be having a surprise engagement on the weekend. I needed to set up the house quickly while they were out on the walk for the proposal because our future son in laws family had driven over and were waiting close by at local coffee shop (I had 7 minutes from when they were texted that they left for a walk to their arrival). Both families were at our home to surprise them when they returned from their walk.
I had made reservations for a brunch at a local restaurant. To decorate the space I made some vases with mason jars and arranged some flowers in them at my friends home the day prior, she was kind enough to make cupcakes and set up the room before we arrived (thanks Marcie!). As you can see, we repurposed the engagement banner. Megans twin sister Nicki added photos & made the darling cupcake picks. Her future husbands last name begins with a K, so I borrowed the K that I had made for Kassidys’ Cinderella birthday party! Click Rose Petal Initial Craft to see tutorial post.
The lace around the edge of the white cupcake liners gave them a romantic touch. Ateco large size decorating tips for frosting and white cupcake liners add a touch of elegance to these cupcakes.
The restaurant printed a menu for us~a nice touch.
Small touches like these napkins I found at Tuesday Morning are a nice way to personalize the celebration. Wedding number two now in the planning stages, looking forward to sharing some creative ideas for the decor of these upcoming celebrations!
A beautiful celebration of love for a beautiful couple!
