Easy Pantry Organizing on a Budget! Here’s a trick to organizing that’s as simple as it gets. Those awesome Coffee Creamers come in such great reusable containers. Love those great flip-up-ready-to-pour tops!
When you are finished with the creamer, don’t throw the container away. Cut the label off, wash thoroughly & reuse them to store pantry items that can pour out the top easily- nuts, chocolate chips, m&ms, popcorn kernels, sprinkles, flour, sugar.. the list goes on & on. It even keeps the food fresher.
Another idea for these containers- put pancake mix in & store till you are ready to add water. Shake & ready to pour!
You can decorate the containers, use them for salad bar, dessert tables, ice cream sundae stations. So many ideas!
updated: we have received so much awesome feedback on this idea to reuse and recycle these containers. Unfortunately, clear containers are not available in everyone’s area. Occasionally these empty containers can be found on eBay. We also found them new (& full) for sale on Amazon. (32oz or 64oz)
We have more FrugElegant Up Cycle to check out. Like our Wine Crate Up Cycle to Pantry Organizers and so much more…
Love your ideas
I like the look of the same bottles; since I am not a coffee drinker; I use small orange juice bottles for this same purpose; especially for camping.
Yes thats a great idea Carolyn. Several liquid beverages come in terrific containers perfect for reusing. 😉
Wondering if I can use the bottles that the unstoppables come in. I have been saving them quite a while. They look just like these creamer jars. I was actually thinking of putting craft items in them to save shelf space due to the height of the jars. Washed out extra good, of course.
Hi Pam, We are big fans of being able to reuse any kinds of jars, bottles, etc to help us be more organized. Though we dont have a unstoppable container, they look very handy to reuse. Because they are made to hold a cleaning product, it probably would be best to only store non-food items in them. 😉
the problem is…they aren’t “clear”…
love that idea was tossing now will reuse thanks for great ideach
So glad you like it! Thanx Cheryl 😉
Why is it that the lights go on when you see something so ingenious with things I have been collecting in case I find a use for then? Thanks for the ideas!!
Whoahooo, that is fabulous! And just what we LOVE to hear 😉
Thank you so much!!
I concur…brilliant reuse of creamer containers…..
Thanx so much Janbi!!
Love this idea!!! Can’t wait to finish off the creamer nd see what I can fill the clean bottle with!!!
Let us know what you decide Dee From the car, boat, camper or home use.. These are terrific bottles to reuse in an endless amount of ways. 😉
I love these for my new college Grandson. M &Ms, cashews, skittles, all things that are easy access for him. He likes them, too.
That is a GREAT idea Betty!! And what college kid wants to spend any $$ on storage containers lol. Next time I send my (Randi’s) daughter who’s in college a care package, I will fill a few containers for her. Thanx so much for writing to us 😉
Great idea. Didn’t realize the outer plastic seal pealed off without effort. Great storage idea. Thank you,
Jasmine
Yes we were surprised too when we realized it. Such a great container to store so many different things. Thanx for writing Jasmine!
Great idea to make Christmas baskets! Just fill with peppermints, hot chocolate mix, any kind of Christmas candy. Attach a Christmas bow and it’s done!
Love it!! We would love to get that for a gift. What a great idea Darlene 😉
Saw your super idea for reusing the coffee creamer bottles–I had a few and ‘found’ a few from folks. I have a friend that was taking her Grand Daughter on a road trip in an older remodeled Air Stream Camper–they were going to travel the Blue Ridge Parkway–stopping for snow closures and at some great places of Lodging ( Grove Park Inn -Asheville, NC ) They will be on the road a lot of time. I used various sized bottles for many things ya’ll mentioned…Honey, Pre-measured pancake mix, cereal, dried fruits=raisins, cranberries, cherries, chocolate chip cookie mix, cocoa mix, even mini marshmallows ! I tucked them into 6-pack beer containers where they could be placed securely out of the way. 1 bottle had a mish mash of safety pins, thread, sewing needles, krazy glue, a few buttons, toothpicks, tweezers, twist ties, rubber bands–just those little things that can all go together rather than piece by piece.
Everything was appreciated !!! Almost as appreciated as the super ideas you share with all of us !!! Thank you so much ! Henny
Henny, you are such a great friend! What a great gift! Thank you so much for sharing that with us, it really means a lot. 😉
great idea for campers, and to use a 6 pack so they don’t fall over…..
Totally love the idea of using a 6 pack!
I use mine for pancake batter.
Pancake batter! So great Sophia!!
In use the containers to pour coffee into my reusable Keurig filters…much less mess than spoons, etc.
That is a great idea Dave!!
I keep one on each level of my house for watering my houseplants and have one in the tub for my grandson to play. So many ideas here that I’m going to try!
Wow that’s a fabulous idea Jan! We have got to add that one to our list. Thank you so much!!
I never seen the clear creamer bottles however, I started using the white ones by filling them with snow melt then using missed matched fuzzy socks, cut the toe are off for a hat on top the bottle and then a piece to make a scarf all without sewing! Using a black magic marker make eyes knows and mouth. Perfect gift to give, to leave in car so you can salt as you get out of the car and it’s icy
Wow that is awesome Mary Ellen. Creative and beautiful as well as functional. Yes we have the clear by us and hear from many that they dont have the clear too. Guess it goes by locations? Thank you so much for sharing your great idea!
Love these ideas. The one for houseplants is perfect. My African Violets need special food, so I can make a bottle just for them. My orchids need a bloom builder occasionally, so they can have a bottle for that. Other plants need fertilizer once every 2 weeks…and so on. Great way to make it all easier. Thanks!
Linda, what a great idea for making the bottles for all the different plant foods. Bet they look pretty too. Thanks so much for sharing your idea.
I also use my creamer bottle for sugar.
Same! Pours so easily. Love it.
I fill them with birdseed. I buy in bulk, 20-40 pounds at a time. It is so easy to pour some into the feeders! These bottles seal nicely to keep the seed fresh.
Another awesome idea!! Thank you for sharing that with us.
