Hi!! It’s been a pretty busy summer for us with our families & working our home staging business, FrugElegance by Design. This past weekend we got to enjoy a beautiful day with our hubbies, at Carol & Randy’s boat, on the lake. Good friends, good food & good times together, what could be better?
We had the most scrumptious bbq and as we were putting together our strawberry shortcakes, we thought “Wow, we need share this!”. It’s so quick & easy to make, fresh & beautiful dessert. Sorry, no fancy pictures or photo editing… no makeup either!! LOL!
Prepared in advance: Bisquick Biscuits, a container of cut up fresh fruit & berries, one container of whipped topping.
Directions: Slice the biscuits in half (open face); Scoop some whipped topping onto biscuit & add sliced strawberries. Put top half of biscuit on top and repeat another scoop of whipped topping and add blueberries, blackberries.
So beautiful & tastes so fresh & delicious. Because you can prep your ingredients in advance like we did, this is a perfect dessert for picnics or any gatherings where you need to bring a dessert with you. Red, white & blue also perfect for your Fourth of July celebrations!
Because not all Bisquick boxes have the recipe on it, this is the recipe for making the shortcake biscuits… You need: 2-1/3 cup bisquick mix, 2/3 cup milk, 3 Tbsp sugar, 3 Tbsp melted butter
Heat oven to 425˚, Stir all ingredients until soft dough forms. Drop by 6 spoonfuls onto uncreased cookie sheet. Suggestion- we like to like the cookie sheet with parchment paper. Sprinkle with some Turbinado Sugar. Bake 10-12 mins or until golden brown.
