Kitchen Makeover & Remodel – FrugElegance by Design
The wallpaper & white wash cabinets needed to be updated. So I stripped the wallpaper & started looking for new cabinet doors, drawers, & floor tile. I didn’t need a general contractor I knew I could oversee the project & design the changes I wanted. The granite was put in about 8 years ago & I still love it, I also love my kitchen layout. It just needed a few changes: I wanted the fridge built in, a small wine fridge where one of the lower pantry shelves was located, and a more custom looking hood range. I had seeded glass cut to fit in 2 of the cabinet doors & puck lights added to light up the shelves. My husband removed the dated light box with fluoresant lights & put in canned lights. A larger crown molding installed around the top edge of the cabinets gave an elegant finishing touch.
Some special choices added in some of my cabinets were: A pull out drawer under my double ovens for my baking pans. A spice pull out next to my cooktop. And lots of pull out drawers! I LOVE MY NEW KITCHEN!

What color is the kitchen painted?

Hi Donna, its actually a custom mixed color. The initial color was recreated to match at the local paint store. Its pretty & so warm, isn’t it? We are trying to see if we have an old paint can with the info.. if we find it, we will write back asap. Thanx for asking!
