Kid’s Summer Activities: English Muffin Pizzas & Play Time -Need some awesome ideas to keep your kids busy this summer?
Here’s an activity that makes meal time fun & creative!
This is perfect for lunch or dinner time… Outdoors or indoors… And great for all ages!! You can use paper plates for a quick & easy clean up too.
Kids can work on some basic prep skills with the toppings depending on their age & abilities: washing & cutting up the veggies, shredding cheese, setting up.. its all fun.
Roll out brown paper to cover the table. We used a roll purchased at the local dollar store. Have your art supplies ready to go but keep them to the side because first, its time to create the English Muffin Pizzas.
Anything goes, faces, patterns or plain. It’s so fun to see what their imaginations think of!
When pizzas go in the oven, bring out the art supplies. Play games like tic tac toe, maze games & the dot game (a nice change from their tech toys!). Practice writing letters, numbers, names, drawer pictures.. For the little ones, make dotted letters so they can connect the dots & spell out their name.
When the pizzas are done, it’s time to clean up the markers, get the food(s) on the table & eat their creations!
