It just doesn’t get simpler or easier than this. Girls Scouts have been out selling their awesome cookies & St. Patty’s Day is coming up soon. Let’s make a tasty dessert that is fast, easy & tastes great…
All you need is:
- Chocolate Chips- we melt Nestle dark chocolate chips & do not use any of the fancy melting kinds. Any store brand chocolate chip will do great.
- Trefoil Girl Scout Cookies
- Green &/or Gold Shimmer Course Sugar
Line a cookie sheet with some wax or parchment paper (so the melted chocolate won’t stick). Next pour chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl. Microwave on for 30 secs on lower power (about 60-70%). Stir and microwave again. Repeat until chocolate chips are fully melted. Don’t microwave chips on full power or the consistency of the melted chocolate won’t be smooth.
Dip each cookie with chocolate covering about half the cookie. We do this by almost a scooping technique & that works well to slide cookie on the bowl to remove excess- then dip cookie same way into the sugar to coat well & place on lined cookie sheet. When cookies are all complete place cookie sheet in refrigerator for a few minutes till chocolate is hardened.
ENJOY! Happy St Patty’s Day!
