Easy spring flower vase for gift giving or spring home decor…
Our local supermarket’s floral department has such an amazing selection of spring floral arrangements in beautiful vases & containers. Unfortunately, the price tags can be pretty high. BUT, that’s ok, because we can create your own “frugal-elegant” version of theirs. Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a super creative or crafty person either.. it’s so easy.
We start with picking out a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Since we are making our arrangement in a small jar, we have to cut the stems shorter. Our jar is simple & plain. The Dollar Tree has a nice selection of vase & glass jar options. Amazon also has some great choices too. And the least expensive option – reuse an old pickle or food jar. You really don’t need anything fancy or decorative because the ribbon & flowers will be the main focus of the arrangement.
Cut the burlap ribbon to fit the vase..
Next we secure a burlap ribbon with a few small dabs of glue from the glue gun.
Finish with a thinner, more decorative ribbon. Look how beautiful. This was created to give as a get well gift for a friend. It’s more special than the store bought arrangements because it’s made with love!!

I’m terrible at arranging flowers but I think I can handle this! & I agree, Dollar Tree is a great place to shop for glass pieces.
RandiG says
Yes you can Melissa. Hope you will give it a try. Great ideas when you walk through the flower dept at the grocery store. Ribbons, bows, they do it up yet very simple & elegant. But their prices are so high so we would rather do it ourselves 😉
