We’ve got a quick & easy new idea for gift tags- Holiday Gift Clips! Plus, after being used on a gift, they can be reused in your holiday decor! Write holiday messages, or names to identify gifts, use them to keep ornaments & cards in place, on the Christmas Tree or use to hang & display holiday cards.
So easy to make, the kids can get involved & create their own too!
Using wooden clothespins, we spray painted assorted colors: Red, Glittery Silver & Glittery Gold. If you prefer not to use spray paint, you can use a assorted Sharpie markers instead. We love metallic sharpies! After paint is dry, we decorated our clips using a glue gun to attach assorted charms, stickers, mini jingle bells, erasers.. basically, anything small & decorative will work.
Mini Jingle Bells are fun & festive! To match the clip with the gift bag, we glued bells on the red gift bag.
For our Chanukah Gift Clip we glued Metallic Plastic Chanukah Gelt. Other options can be Small or Mini Dreidels or Small Chanukah Charms would also look fabulous too.
We also made use from Assorted Holiday Erasers from the local Dollar Tree. Check out these cute ones they have online.
We also made use of charms from broken wine charms -remember those things used to snap onto a wine glass stem so guests remember which glass is their own. This gift clip is perfect for holiday or hostess gifts.
Works GREAT on wrapped gifts too!
Another fun idea for our Holiday Clips are using them to hang holiday cards! Here, we are showing our own family holiday cards from years past. Using a sharpie marker, easily hand write the year that holiday card was used. As the kids get older, its super fun to see all the holiday cards displayed together.
What is a Craft Lightning? A craft that can be created in under 15 minutes. Not counting drying time, they are fast & easy so anyone can make them.
