Perfect for the holidays we have the simplest & easiest Chocolate Bark recipe. Plus, its super fun to make…
For our first layer, we are using Nestle Dark Chocolate Chips. You can melt the chocolate in the microwave but always use a lower power & stir often. Because we are melting a lot of chocolate at once we perfer to melt using a pot. We are heating water in one pot & then put a pot on top with the chocolate chips. The heat from the water will heat the top pot & melt the chocolate. The cooking term for this is “Double Boiler”. It just sounds complicated, but its super easy.
For our 2nd layer, we are melting Nestle White Chocolate Chips.
Cover the cookie sheets with parchment paper. A good trick is to lightly spray nonstick cooking spray cookie sheet to keep the parchment paper in place. Then pour first layer of melted chocolate. Pour 2nd layer if desired. And then decorate with any and all favorite toppings…
Some toppings we are using for our bark: crumbled up graham crackers with mini marshmallows, crushed candy canes, blue sprinkles with blue sugar, M&Ms & crushed heath candy. The sky is the limit & you can use any & all your favorite candies. Load it up, or just sprinkle a few items,Β anything goes!
After you are finished with your toppings, refrigerate your bark for about 30-45 minutes or until firm enough for chocolate to break into pieces. The time also varies depending on how thick your bark is.
Look how beautiful all our bark came out! We had our “ladies lunch brunch group” the next day so we made up a few gifts to share with our friends. Holiday plates full of the different chocolate bark flavors on pretty christmas platesΒ (or hanukkah plates), wrapped with clear wrap & topped off with a ribbon tied ornament. Tis the season!!
Making chocolate bark is super fun & easy- bet the kids will put their phones & games down to come help decorate the chocolate bark!
Did you see our recent Simple & Elegant Hanukkah Tablescape post? We set the table with small gift boxes of chocolate bark plus some for the dessert table.
