Time for a coffee table to get an updated new look…
Please note that some of the supplies used in this post were supplied to us… but our opinions are always our own.
Remember our post Decorating Small Spaces on a Budget? But, now, as one set of sisters moved out & the younger sisters moved in, it’s time this San Francisco apartment gets a frug-elegant makeover.
The coffee table colors looked awesome before but now, it was either find a new table or paint… and after trying the Americana Chalky Finish paints for the first time on our nightstands, we knew we could easily paint it.
Our easy DIY project starts with the Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paints by Deco Art.
No need to sand or prime table so we started by masking off the top using FrogTape & painted the light gray Chalky Finish Paint to legs & area around the top of the table. When dry we masked off the light gray & painted the top dark gray. When thoroughly dry we painted clear matte varnish to the top for added protection. And using a rag applied a creme wax to protect & seal the rest of table.
This was only our 2nd time trying these chalky paints & are really happy with how easy these paints are to use. Fast & easy projects are our favorites and now, we have a new found love of chalk paints.
Did you see our first try at Chalk Paints came out? Check out our Chalk Painting for the First Time Post and see how beautiful the night stands came out.

This was only our 2nd chalk paint project. Our first is on the night stands. The great part about chalk paint is how you don’t need to worry about the brush strokes or drips like other paint. It perfectly imperfect look is what makes it so vintage or shabby chic. Let us know how it goes when you do give it a try Shirley.

It was very nice looking before but now goes so beautifully in it’s surroundings. Nice to see a lovely piece of furniture getting a new look.
