Brunch Bellini Bar for your holiday brunch or anytime!
A Bellini is a cocktail that originated in Venice Italy & it’s one of our favorites to serve at a Spring brunch. A mixture of Prosecco sparkling wine with peach or nectar puree, it’s refreshing, tastes super yummy & looks beautiful. Here are our favorite tips & tricks on how to make a Frug-Elegant Style Bellini Bar.
The Grocery Outlet Bargain Market’s wine selection is full of frug-fabulous deep discounts. Wines are regularly 50-70% off. During their Spring Wine Sale the wine is an extra 20% off. That’s our kind of sale & the perfect time to stock up for Spring & Summer entertaining. This year’s Spring Wine Sale is going on March 22 – 26, 2016.
Check out their sparkling wine section where we picked out a wonderful Premium Australian Brut by Seaview to substitute for Prosecco.
Buy peach & pear nectar juice or make your own. You can also serve with other juices like orange juice for mimosas. We will have a combo of store bought & home made to show how easy both are…
To make simple syrup for the Bellini, combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and allow to cool completely. You can make the simple syrup days in advance.
After pouring the Brut into glasses, stir until mixed. Add a few raspberries into glass & garnish the glass with a raspberry or strawberry.
Serve with your favorite brunch dishes.
