Had a quickie idea to create a Boxwood Hanukkah Wreath when our local Trader Joe’s store had gorgeous fresh cut Boxwood Wreaths in stock for $10.99! After all, using a “fresh” wreath is going to be a one hit wonder.. so why not give it a try?! Though, we just might decide to buy an artificial boxwood wreath to decorate and reuse now that we love how it came out.
The items used to decorate our wreath, are from the Hanukkah & Christmas storage bin: small Blue, White & Silver Christmas tree ornament balls, Star of David wire garland and a silver “Happy Hanukkah” Ornament. Using the wire garland, cut into smaller pieces, worked perfectly to tie the small ornament balls in place. No worries if you don’t have a holiday storage bin with items to use for wreath decorations, you can find lots of inexpensive items at the local dollar store and many discount retailers like Homegoods.
Fresh and new, and loving this beautiful wreath on the front door. Created for under $20 is especially rewarding when compared to some of the Hanukkah Wreaths available online and in retail stores. One hit wonders can be special in their own ways LOL!
The only care needed will be a little spritz of a water bottle to keep the wreath fresh looking.
Wishing you a very Happy Hanukkah!
