Berry Trifle Cups are a beautiful & delicious summertime favorite.
Trifle is one of the most easy & versatile recipes we know. You can make it differently every time. Pick your favorite fruits, favorite cakes & create your own trifle combinations. Plus, it comes out looking gorgeous!
Thank you to Chinet for sponsoring FrugElegance! Some product has been supplied. Our opinions are always 100% our own.
Our trifle cups are a light & refreshing summertime dessert. Make 2 or make 20 or more, making cups is a great way to make exactly how many you need & makes a gorgeous presentation in these beautiful Chinet crystal cut stemless wine plastic cups. (Makes for a super easy clean up!, and no worries about waste- they are recyclable!!)
Ingredients: Blueberries, Strawberries, Cool Whipped topping & Butter Pound Cake (frozen cuts so much easier), Fresh Mint Leaves
- We cut the pound cake into small pieces & then put a 2-3 small pieces at the bottom of our cup.
- Next, we sprinkle a few blueberries & sliced strawberries.
- Spoon some whipped topping
- for individual cups, repeat 1-3 followed by topping off with a final whole strawberry & mint leaf.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Recommendations: Do not use the whipped topping from a can because that has too much air in it, use the container kind. These are in the freezer section in the super market but you need to let it defrost before you start creating your trifle.
Also, this is best made fresh but you can make the night before but we recommend to cover each cup with some plastic wrap.
Optional ideas: *add in a layer of chocolate or vanilla pudding *use different fruit combinations *use brownie pieces. Or you can also create one big trifle in a trifle bowl.
