Time for a little girls room to change into a room for a young lady. Bye bye to the toys & stuffed animals ~hello to make up, infinite colors of nail polish & fashion jewelry.
Tons of little details that go into redoing a room a teenage girl. You can visit our Pinterest Board for more detailed pictures. Plus the DIY pictures of some of the decor items made for this room.
Here are some brief descriptions of some of the pix above:
BED: Bye bye stuffed animals. Hello to gorgeous Shabby Chic coordinating bedding by Target. Soft & feminine, the colors are striking with the added black accents. The canvas art, above the bed, from HomeGoods was an amazing match!
Nightstand tray keep items organized (DIY project). Electronics are OFF the top & in a small container to the side of the nightstand. Neatly holds everything & near outlet for charging. “Love” in frame- HomeGoods frame plus a simple print out on home computer.
Desk area is used for make up. (homework is done at a computer area). Took away all the old books, used organizers for the smaller items like CDs, & organized the top desk drawer for make up. Lamp & shade are both from Target. Team photo on top shelf (DIY) adds a personal picture. See the Pink Flower pot is in both but painted the base. The Framed Pin/Picture Board (DIY) is a real focal point & love the shabby chic frame from Room with a Past.
Bathroom: Though small, it just needs a few main touches: towels, decorative soaps, a small frame with a print out from home computer in it, & a pretty soap dispenser. The art was a real treasure found at Rooms with a Past. Love how they coordinate so well with color & femininity.
