This project not only decorates the teachers desk- it will keep their pens from getting lost!
This is a fast, easy & very affordable project. I bought almost all the supplies at The Dollar Tree. This can also be made in so many ways you can do whatever you like to decorate the pot or flowers.
Small ceramic pot, bag of small rocks & flowers are from The Dollar Tree. They also carry the floral tape but was out of stock during my last shopping trip so I purchased that at my local craft store. Chalk Board Paint is from my local craft store with a half off coupon -orig $9.99 & I have done so many projects with just one container.
My flowers were connected so I first cut them apart with enough stem for each pen.
Place a small piece of clear scotch tape at the top of the flower to hold in place to the pen. Then I take the floral tape & start wrapping around the pen & stem from top to bottom all the way down the pen (overlap it for good coverage). At the bottom, cut the floral tape & squeeze it to stay in place (its a self sealing tape). Repeat this for all your pens. I did 2 in a dark green & 2 in a light green tape.
Paint on the chalk board paint (partially painted like on left picture or fully painted on right picture). Fill the pot with the rocks & put pens into the rocks point side down & flower side up. After chalk paint is dry write something special.
Now your teacher will have a beautiful potted plant on their desk that never needs watering!
