Outdoor Graduation Party Centerpiece ideas can be easy & fun to makes. We are creating these for Randi’s daughter’s high school graduation. Our main idea is to start by using the upcoming college colors (green & yellow) & different pictures from over the years of the soon to be graduate.
Most items were purchased at our local Dollar Tree which helped keep our project very affordable.
We used a glue gun to gently attach our graduation theme ribbon we found at our local Michael’s Craft Store. (we don’t see it available on Michael’s website but a nice selection is available on Amazon if you want to shop online). Inside our yellow can, we place green foam block that will be used to hold our Flower Pinwheels.
We fill with sand to give some weight to the centerpiece so it can withstand any wind. We used regular play sand that we had bought a larger bag from our hardware store for summer decorating. This is so much cheaper than buying sand from the craft store.
And then top with a graduation rubber duck. We bought these ducks at the local dollar store too but we did see some pretty cool ones, including ones that light up online at Oriental Trading at a great price.
These outdoor graduation centerpieces are so easy to make. The sky is the limit for colors & designs. Just remember, you don’t have to be a crafter & you don’t have to spend a lot of money for your centerpieces to look good. You don’t even need to spend a lot of time.. which we are all short on. We like things easy & affordable, FrugElegance style!
