Easy Mason Jar Utensil Holders are so easy to make- You DONT have to be “Crafty”!
Supplies Needed:
- Mason Jar (s)
- Ribbon *more than 1 style if you want to layer like we did. We layered red checkered ribbon over a Burlap ribbon with a wider width.
- Chalkboard Paint
- scissor (for cutting ribbon)
- Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
- Chalk or Chalk Marker to write with.
- For drying purposes, start by painting the circular section of the mason jar lid (or lids if you are making more than 1) with Chalkboard Paint. Set aside to dry.
- Take mason jar & bottom/wider layer of ribbon (burlap is in the picture), put a line of glue & hold a few seconds to know the ribbon will stay in place. *Best to glue on the back of the jar to hide the seam.
- Wrap the ribbon around the jar to see how much you need to complete the full body of the jar & cut at the spot where the 2 ends will overlap a little. Put a line of glue across the ribbon already on the jar & then press the 2nd end down & hold a few secs for it to dry & stay secure.
- Take 2nd ribbon & follow the same directions as Step #3.
- When chalkboard circles are dry write your message
- Apply hot glue to back of circle & press in desired area on front of jar.
This mason jar craft is so easy & fast to make. Under 15 minutes for 1, and we did all 3 in under 30 minutes (not counting the drying time).
