Mouthwatering & best bacon! This bacon is rich with flavor & your bacon lover will surely go nuts for this- Perfect on its own or crumbled for a topping.
Ingredients:
- thick sliced bacon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2-3 tsp. chili powder
- Line a baking sheet with tin foil & top with a rack that is larger enough to hold the bacon. This allows the grease to drip through & collect in the baking sheet. It also helps to spray the rack with cooking spray for easier clean up.
- Mix together the brown sugar & chili powder.
Lightly coat both sides of the bacon with the mixture & place strips on top of rack.
Bake at 350 degrees approx. 20 minutes (we are cooking it to get crispy & well done)
Making this bacon during the holidays is a family favorite. Halfway through cooking Quiche Lorraine, the bacon goes in to cook & when everything is finished at the same time, brunch is served. Or Christmas morning, as we are all opening presents & the overnight casseroles have been cooking our holiday breakfast. The amazing smells that travel through the house makes everyone smile. The best part, these easy breakfast & brunch options allow for me to cook a fabulous meal but also enjoy the time with the family.
And of course, you can make this bacon any time & with any meal.

I started making bacon in the oven and love it! I haven’t made the greasy mess of pan frying it since! We have bacon so much more often once I figured out how much easier it is…
I have never thought of adding brown sugar and chili powder. I’ll have to try it out! Sounds good.
